The eatery and natural camping ground is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands. Surrounded by ancient heathlands, fairy-tale oak forests, expansive drifting sand areas, rare raised bogs, and hidden ponds.

De Voscheheugte is located opposite the beautiful Mantingerzand. Natuurmonumenten is developing a diverse nature area of over 1,100 hectares in one piece. An ideal base for a short or long stay in Drenthe. In good company, or just nice alone. Biking, hiking, horseback riding, skating, meditating, lounging, or being active. On our grounds, you'll find 9 nature huts, 30 spacious camping spots, and a small field for trekkers. Kids are welcome, dogs too.

At Voscheheugte you can enjoy a pleasant stay and delicious food. That is, unless special measures are in place. It’s a celebration for those who love good food and socializing over meals. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Enjoy a drink, a cup of coffee, afternoon tea, or a culinary snack as well. Cozy inside when it's cold, or enjoy the birds and greenery outside when the sun is shining. It’s wonderful to relax after a hearty walk or bike ride.
