The Zeeuws Museum is a museum in Middelburg about the province of Zeeland. Since 1972, the Zeeuws Museum has been located on the Abdijplein in the Abbey of Middelburg.
At the end of the 18th century, the Royal Zeeland Society of Sciences founded the Museum Medioburgense in Middelburg. in 1886, the Kunstmuseum was also founded in the same city. In the course of the 20th century, the museums fell into disrepair and part of the collection was lost during the bombing in 1940. In 1961, the Zeeland Museum Foundation moved into the building of the Museum Medioburgense in the Wagenaarstraat. The museum will receive part of the collection of the Zeeland Society on loan and the collection of the Kunstmuseum will be transferred to the museum foundation.
