The Fort south of Spaarndam is a fort of the Defense Line of Amsterdam. It is located southwest of Spaarndam-West, on the Noorder Buiten Spaarne. This fort was originally intended to defend Amsterdam against a potential attacker. The fort has been restored and houses, among other things, an art gallery and a café.
