The route crosses the 'Beneden Linge' here. The river Linge is with 108 km the longest river in the Netherlands and is originally a side branch of the Waal that was dammed around 1200 near Tiel. From here, the river follows its natural watercourse and is therefore a beautiful meandering river. The Linge ends at Gorinchem in De Merwede.
