The Fort at Krommeniedijk is a fort of the Amsterdam Defense Line. It is located on the eastern border of the municipality of Uitgeest, near the hamlet of Krommeniedijk, in the province of North Holland. It is owned by Landscape North Holland.
The Fort at Krommeniedijk is part of the northwest front of the Amsterdam Defense Line. The line dike that was supposed to keep water out of the Defense Line during flooding runs from the Fort at Marken-Binnen at the Nauernasche Vaart, through the Krommenieër Woudpolder to the Fort at Krommeniedijk. From there, the line dike continues in a southwestern direction, passing the Fort aan den Ham and Fort bij Veldhuis. The fort defended the Lagendijk, which runs straight through the flood area. Soldiers could also prevent an enemy from entering the Defense Line via the river Crommenije from the fort. To the east of the fort, just within the municipality of Zaanstad, lies a secondary battery.
