VV Leiden is a former Dutch amateur football club from Leiden, founded on July 15, 1940. On July 1, 2018, the club merged with FC Rijnland to become Sporting Leiden. The first team played in the last season in the Third class Saturday of the West II district. The club was established on July 15, 1940, with most of the members coming from the Saturday section of ASC, the club in which Ajax Leiden had merged in 1918. It registered as a member of the Leidsche Football Association in the same year. The highest level at which VV Leiden has played is the Second class KNVB, in which the club played four seasons in two periods.
