Recreation pool Enkhuizerzand

Recreatiebad Enkhuizerzand is a swimming pool in the Dutch province of North Holland.

Recreatiebad Enkhuizerzand has been managed since 1996 by the Stichting Recreatievoorzieningen voor Enkhuizen, which takes care of the operation for the municipality of Enkhuizen. Before Recreatiebad Enkhuizerzand opened its doors, 'De Kwaker' and the outdoor swimming pool have long been the municipal swimming pools of Enkhuizen. When there were plans to renovate the swimming pools in 1993, an investigation was made into the various possibilities. The renovation costs would require a large financial injection. Because this investment was too large for these already outdated swimming pools, it was decided to build a completely new swimming facility. In 1994 they started building the new swimming pool at the Recreatieoord located on the IJsselmeer. The swimming pool opened its doors on 1 January 1996.
