Nostalgia about Hotel De Drift

The hotel had thirteen hotel rooms that offered a comfortable and cozy resting point during the holidays: whether you were a guest for one night, a weekend, or longer. They served an extensive breakfast and a delicious 3-course dinner.

Guests rated the hotel in 2018 with the Silver Zoover Award. Our room prices, including breakfast, ranged from € 47.50 to € 109.50. The rooms were equipped with all comforts and provided you space and opportunity to relax after a day of cycling, hiking, visiting dolmens, or city trips. The Drenthe suites were extra luxurious, with air conditioning, box spring beds, digital TV, and rain showers. Two suites also had a bathtub. There was free WiFi, ample parking, and limitless nature, in short, an ideal place near the howe (burial mound) in Dwingeloo.

The owner B. Bult sold the hotel in 2020, and the new hoteliers completely stripped and converted the property into a boutique hotel. This was a cozy hotel that offered a very hospitable and reasonably priced home in Drenthe, but unfortunately, nothing remains of that.
