The Flemish barn

At the edge of the nature reserve Wijboschbroek stands the Sheepfold. It is one of the most beautiful spots in Schijndel. Besides the typical cultural heritage that has been rebuilt here, it is mainly the unique inhabitants (the sheep, of course) that invite you to come and visit this special location.

You can also admire a number of unique buildings here, such as an authentic Flemish barn, a converted cart shed, and a haystack with a shelter.

Thanks to the Province of North Brabant and a large group of volunteers, an old Flemish barn from Cromvoirt could be rebuilt in Schijndel in 2002.

This was the beginning of the Sheepfold.

During lambing season, the flock is in the stable. For the rest of the year, the barn is used for activities.
