In 1925 the Town Hall in Maarn was designed in traditional style by architect J. Pothoven. Compare this design with the town hall of the municipality of Woudenberg (1936). In 1963 and 1979, the Town Hall at the rear was considerably expanded. The police station was located in the basement for a long time. Under the landing stairs were two police cells. In 2016, the municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug, into which the municipality of Maarn-Maarsbergen merged in 2006, sold the Town Hall and the property was split horizontally. Three parties are now the proud owners of the national monument. The tower clock has a monumental value. To the delight of the locals, the wedding hall has also been restored.
