Engelenstede is a nature and recreation area located to the west of the hamlet Kaathoven and to the southwest of Vinkel in the Dutch province of North Brabant. The area has an area of 80 ha. It is largely owned by and managed by the City Region of 's-Hertogenbosch.
Engelenstede consists of mixed forest, dry and wet heath remnants, some ponds and streams, and agricultural enclaves. The forests are interspersed with recreational meadows, creating a mosaic-like whole. The area is bordered on the north side by the Grote Wetering.
The name "Engelenstede" is derived from a farm that stood in this area around 1760. The owner's name was Van Engelen and he had a statue of an angel embedded in the farmhouse.
