Illikhoven is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Echt-Susteren located in the province of Limburg. It lies between the Meuse River and the Julianakanaal. To the west of Illikhoven, the Kingbeek flows into the Meuse.
For centuries, Illikhoven was divided between two different jurisdictions: the houses to the northeast of the road that intersects the hamlet belonged to the Overkwartier of Gelre and were part of the district of Montfort. Later, this part of Illikhoven became part of the municipality of Roosteren. The houses to the southwest of the road belonged to the Land of Gulik and were part of the district of Born, and after 1811, of the municipality of Born. Currently, both parts are combined under the municipality of Echt-Susteren.
