Hemert is a hamlet in the municipality of Groningen in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is located on the edge of the municipality along the road from Stedum to Lellens and Ten Post. The hamlet was known in the Middle Ages as Hemmuurdh and Heemwerd, which means inhabited, settled terp. It gave its name to the daughter settlement of Hemeder- or Emmerwolde.
