The Synagogue of Assen is a former synagogue on the Groningerstraat in Assen, the Netherlands. Since 1947 it has been used as a church building under the name Bethel Church.
The Jews, who lived in Assen in the 18th and early 19th centuries, did not have enough money to build their own synagogue. They held their services in a barn until the community bought a house for this purpose in 1813. By 1826 the congregation had grown to such an extent that a new building was sought. It was not until 1832 that the Jewish community of the municipality of Assen was allocated a piece of land on the Groningerstraat. On August 10 of that year, the building was inaugurated.
