Rhaan is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is located in the north of the municipality between Hankate and Eelen. The Rhaanderesch, located just south of the hamlet, is located on the slope of the Mekkelink, a moraine of approximately 20 meters high. In the Middle Ages, Rhaan was a fiefdom. Knight Frederik van Heeckeren van der Eze was Lord to Rhaan; he was one of the most powerful nobles in medieval Overijssel and Gelderland.
