Witte Paarden is a hamlet in the municipality of Steenwijkerland, in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The hamlet is located in the Kop van Overijssel to the northwest of Steenwijk and the provincial road N761.
The name Witte Paarden is derived from an inn. This inn formerly provided accommodation along the road Zwolle - Leeuwarden, where horses could also be stabled and cared for for the night. In 1953, the municipal council of the then municipality of Steenwijkerwold decided to give the hamlet the name of the inn. Previously, the place was called 'Achterbuurt'.
