De Zande is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Kampen, located on Kamperveen. The hamlet lies along the Hank, a tributary of the river IJssel. The provincial road 763 runs alongside the hamlet. The road partially follows the route of the former railway line Hattem - Kampen Zuid. Along this railway, De Zande had its own stop from 1913 to 1933 with the stop De Zande. The branch line from Wezep along the Kamperstraatweg of the Zuiderzeetramweg connected at De Zande to this railway line, from which the tram eventually reached station Kampen Zuid. This branch line was opened in 1914 and the tram line was discontinued in 1931. Between the Hank, the Koeluchtersgat, and the IJssel lies the former island De Welle, now a peninsula consisting of several lakes.
