Someren

Someren ) is a municipality and a town in the western Netherlands, in the province of North Brabant. The municipality has 19,709 inhabitants and covers an area of 81.43 km². . The municipality of Someren is part of the Eindhoven Metropolitan Area. Someren is a vast, industrialized, rural municipality, located in the city triangle Eindhoven - Helmond - Weert. In addition to the main core of Someren, the municipality of Someren consists of three church villages: Someren-Eind, Someren-Heide and Lierop. Until May 1935 Lierop was an independent municipality. Within the core of Someren, the districts Noord, De Loove, Waterdael and De Groote Hoeven are named as such. On the eastern side, Someren is bordered by the Zuid-Willemsvaart since the last border correction with Asten. The provincial road N266 runs along this canal. Via the A67 near Lierop, Someren has a connection to both Belgium and Germany.
