The Lighthouse of Workum is the former white square brick lighthouse or light structure at the IJsselmeer on the Hylperdyk near the entrance to the harbor of Workum.
The original lighthouse was built in 1643 when the dike between Workum and Hindeloopen was also constructed. It then consisted of four oak supports, a square oak base, and an iron plate on which the fire basket stood. That wooden structure was replaced by a stone tower that had three floors, and in 1712 a house was added.
