Sand drift Rosmalen

The Rosmalen Sand Drift is a wooded area southeast of Rosmalen in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is part of a larger overarching nature reserve, De Hooge Heide. The area consists of sand drifts, heath remnants and stocks of Scots pine. Flying pines can also be found in the drifting sand area. In the east of the area is a former landfill, which is used as a cornfield. Sand drift Rosmalen is sandwiched between the A59 motorway and the Rosmalen residential area of Sparrenburg. To the east of the Rosmalen sand drift is the Sparrenburg forest, privately owned, while the Rosmalen sand drift is owned by the municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch. To the south of the Rosmalen sand drifts are the other areas of the Hooge Heide, namely Coudewater, Wamberg, De Loofaert, Eikenburgbos, Vinkelsebos, the Hooghei and Engelenstede. [1]
