Rosmalen Lake

Rosmalense Plas, also known as Empelse Plas or Empels Gat, is an inland lake located on the Empelseweg in Rosmalen, in the Dutch province of North Brabant. The deep water was formed through sand extraction. The lake was excavated in the early 20th century. The pit was also used as a sand extraction site in the 1990s.

The water serves as a recreational lake for walkers, sunbathers, and swimmers. There is no official swimming pool. A diving association uses the lake for its hobby. The lake has no connection to open water. In the past, the Triathlon of Rosmalen started at the lake.

From 1979 until its dissolution in 2004, the surf club Surfclub Loefing '79 was located here. Many competitions and events took place here during the early years of this windsurfing club.
