At the Hawar Textile Institute you will find a unique collection of fabrics, materials and textile working methods. From silk painting, Hawar has grown into an institute that deals with almost all textile techniques. In the former agricultural and domestic science school in picturesque Oldeberkoop, they develop textile techniques with newly discovered materials and accessories are made for shops and fashion designers. Masterclasses, workshops and labs are also organized here. The large and bright studio together with the very extensive shop, the inspiring gallery and the beautiful Oldeberkoop with the rich nature around it, make Hawar a great learning environment.
