Badweg, Doornspijk
The municipality of Elburg is known for its beautiful natural scenery. Between Doornspijk and 't Harde, you will find the Doornspijker Heath and the Sand Drift, for example. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. You can enjoy walking or cycling there. In addition, the surrounding lakes offer plenty of fun for young and old. Sparkling streams and waving reed beds around the Veluwemeer and Drontermeer.
A sand drift is an open area in the heath where no vegetation occurs and where the sand is blown away by wind and water (rain showers). Sand Drift De Zoom (de Haere) has special flora and fauna, including the juniper bush. It is a beautiful area for walking or cycling. At the end of Badweg, there is the possibility to park the car. It is just a short walk to the sand drift. Behind the sand drift, you will find the Doornspijkse Heath, which is accessible through a gate.
