In the middle of the market, where the kiosk now stands, the town hall was located from 1691 to 1881. Afterwards, the old doctor's residence with house number 2 took on this function. House number 8 is a national monument with special details, such as the shoe scraper and the ridged lion heads. The Golden Lion was owned by the first mayor of Sint-Oedenrode in the early nineteenth century.
