Nice to have such a beautiful mountain peak, but how did the green hills of the Hoge Bergse Bos come into existence? And what are we actually standing on? You might guess it, like so many mountains outside Limburg, you are standing on a garbage mountain here. Beneath the green grass lies demolition and construction waste from Rotterdam.
Viewing point Lührs
At the top of the mountain is Viewing point Lührs. At the top, there is a compass with the cardinal directions. You can see the skyline of Rotterdam and, in nice weather, also that of The Hague. The viewpoint is thanks to a bequest from Mr. Lührs. Thanks to his efforts, the Viewing point has been made possible.
