Breskens Observation Deck

At the promenade of Breskens a staircase leads to a viewpoint over the beach of Breskens.

The benches that are there belong to "The benches of Bresjes". Nineteen unique benches in and around Breskens, each with its own design, story, location and view, can be connected to each other in a cycling or walking tour of 3 or 6 kilometers. It is an interactive walking route along 19 benches that are spread along the coast of Breskens. The route runs from Port Scaldis Oost (on the east side of the marina) to Fort Fredrik Hendrik (which is located west of the ferry). On the benches is a QR code with information about that location.

The benches were designed and made by ship's carpenter and artist Rinus Meeusen from wood from when the fishing jetty was shortened a few years ago.
