In the middle of the nineteenth century, farmers and woodcutters worked hard in this area. They wanted to tame the wild sandy soil. The farmers moved there to guard their potatoes and rye. They built a manure stable to provide nutrients to the poor sandy soil. That didn't help. The pioneering work was short-lived. Now you will find hospitality businesses here.
