Portlantis is a new, interactive harbor experience center at Maasvlakte 2 in Rotterdam, opened in March 2025. The center offers visitors a unique experience of the Port of Rotterdam through innovative exhibitions featuring virtual and augmented reality. Visitors will discover how the port operates, the role it plays in daily life, and what the future of the port looks like.
The building consists of five floors and has a panoramic roof terrace with views of the port and the North Sea. In addition to the permanent exhibition, there are educational activities such as fossil expeditions and technical experiments, aimed at both children and adults. You can visit the café on the ground floor, the restaurant on the fourth floor, and the panoramic deck without an access ticket.
Portlantis is designed to tell the story of the port in an accessible and immersive way, making it both an educational and enjoyable destination.
