Around Arcen you can walk beautifully. We took a walk (May 2022) from the spacious parking lot at the Schans in Arcen near the Schanstoren and the Wymarse Molen. The castle gardens of Arcen are also within walking distance.

The walk starts at walking junction 50. Via junction 56, the Wymarse Molen and the banks of the Maas we walk to junction 57. Along the way we can spot large grazers. We enter Landgoed Arcen via walking junctions 62, 63, 31, 32 and 30.

Note! After this we follow the GPS track! We take an alternative route towards junction 11. Also after junction 11 we take an alternative route to junction 19 to enjoy the surroundings extra. Between junctions 11 and 19 we walk over the "white" mountain and wind along the Ravenvennen. Here are several possibilities to sit down.

At junction 19 we go towards junction 22 where we take an alternative route (straight ahead). Now we can get on with it.

After the 8km point we have some beautiful views of a large fen.

When we tick the 10km we come to a strawberry grower who sells strawberries in a vending machine.

The route continues on paved paths and sandy paths. At walking junction 34 we pass the Straelenbroek viewpoint.

At the 13km point we find a nice bench overlooking a Ven.

Via the broekweg we walk towards walking junction 66 where we find an information board about De Dolgaard, an old maze from around 1805.

Near the Dolgaard we also find the entrance to an old ice cellar.

Via junctions 65, 54 and 55 we walk back to the parking lot where we have some beautiful views of the castle gardens of Arcen along the way.
