No matter what season you enter the centuries-old Mastbos, it is a magical scene. Surrounded by 500-year-old trees, you can enjoy the sun's rays, falling leaves and winter pictures in peace. This beautiful, varied walk along the hiking nodes through the Mastbos near Breda is fun for the whole family.

The walking route takes you further along the river Mark in the Mark valley and the fairytale-like, fifteenth-century Bouvigne Castle. You will also pass Speelbos Boeverijen along the way. Here it's all about climbing and clambering! The Mastbos is located on the southern edge of Breda, in the Ginneken district. It is one of the oldest coniferous forests in the Netherlands and an impressive hiking area.

Need a breather after your walk? Near the castle is the nearby Ginnekenmarkt, a triangular square with a village pump and cozy cafes and restaurants. Traditional Brabant conviviality!
