Visit the Langstraat
At the beginning of the 19th century, the De Langstraat region grew into the center of the shoe and leather industry. This route partly follows the Halve Zolenpad, a beautiful bike path along the former freight railway line between Lage Zwaluwe and ’s-Hertogenbosch. You will pass old shoe factories, former tanneries, workers' settlements, and other reminders of the rich past of shoemakers. And there is still much more to experience in this versatile region.
