Loop ZH Take a day trip to Maasvlakte 2 with the ferry from Hoek van Holland (Rotterdam)

A route with many possibilities. Depart with the ferry from Hoek van Holland to Maasvlakte 2. (For example, take your bike on the metro from RET to Hoek van Holland. You can take your bikes outside peak hours on the Metro; there are also restrictions on hot days, see the website of the RET). Explore the ports of Maasvlakte 2 and visit Futureland. And with a round trip (the Futureland Ferry) or a tour (the FutureLand Express), you can experience the activity at the large container terminals and the large ships up close. Or enjoy the beaches and visit a sustainable restaurant Aan Zee in the dunes of Oostvoorne or the pavilion Duinrand at the Oostvoornse lake. After cycling, you return to the ferry to Hoek van Holland. (This service operates from April 1 to October 1 with four departures from Hoek van Holland and four departures from Maasvlakte. Given the strong winds in this area, an e-bike is recommended, but if you enjoy cycling vigorously, this is also very doable. The total cycling distance is just over 42 kilometers; the rest is the sailing distance.
