During World War II, Brunssum showed its best side. At the risk of their own lives, families opened their doors to Jewish children in hiding. In secret, an emergency hospital was established and many British liberators found their final resting place there. The resistance thrived and nobody spoke, until after the war. Now you walk past the hidden stories from Brunssum's wartime past.
