With the retired city archivist, the museum archivist, and a few other prominent figures, a walk with stories about the environment, the landscape, and especially the past to Millen. Here, we visited the ancient church and the accompanying museum. Worth the effort and certainly a nice walk through a beautiful walking area.

Walking along the fringes of history!
On Saturday, May 3rd, we will walk from Sittard to Millen. We will mostly walk through and along green and water history, such as the Oude Weg, Stadbroekermolen, and Schwienswei, where we can find, among other things, Roman history. In beautiful Millen, we will also visit the ‘Haus der Westgrenze,’ which particularly showcases the years of the annexation of the Selfkant as ‘Drostambt Tudderen’ (1949-1963).
