Around the end of the nineteenth century, the originally farming villages of Laren and Blaricum transformed into artists' villages. An increasing number of painters and creative makers from both home and abroad are drawn to the landscape and the authentic farming life that can still be found here, and they come this way.
This unique history is now more visible through the artboard route: sixteen information boards in the public space display artworks by various artists who have lived and worked here. In this way, the art that originated here can also be seen outside the museum walls of Singer Laren. Both residents and visitors are surprised by the rich (art) history of the area and discover the beauty of the region through the eyes of the artists.
