Go out for a varied and inspiring walk from Landal Strand Resort Ouddorp Duin to the RTM Tram Museum and back again. This route combines the best of nature, history, and the relaxing holiday feeling of Goeree-Overflakkee.
From the resort, you walk through dunes and open landscapes, with wide views, quiet paths, and the ever-present salty sea air. Along the way, sandy paths, green strips, and rural vistas alternate. It’s a lovely route to really unwind, with plenty of moments to pause and enjoy the surroundings.
The RTM Tram Museum is a unique and atmospheric turning point of the walk. In this museum, the history of the Rotterdam Tram Company (RTM) comes to life. You will find beautifully restored steam and diesel trams, historic carriages, and various objects that show how important the tram was for transporting people and goods in the South Holland islands and Zeeland. On operating days, you can even ride a bit on an original RTM tram – a unique experience for young and old.
After your visit, you walk back towards Ouddorp Duin in a relaxed manner, with new impressions and the feeling of having experienced a small piece of history. This walk is perfect for those who want to combine nature with culture and a touch of nostalgia. Put on your hiking shoes and let yourself be surprised by this special route. 🚋🌾👣
