This 8.5-kilometer walk takes you around the prehistoric burial mounds and goes around the Landal Holiday park Weerterbergen. If desired, you can also start the walk from the resort itself. Walk through the Boshoverheide and Weerter and Budelerbergen.
After walking past the burial mounds, you cross the railway of the IJzeren Rijn. This railway is hardly used, just once a week to maintain the tradition. You walk over drifting sand and through pine forests, and heathland is also present. A delightful route with a history.
Unfortunately, the route is not really accessible for wheelchairs due to the loose sand.
Especially at the beginning, this route is physically demanding because of the loose sand. Not in the Easy category.
