Welcome to beautiful South Limburg and especially to the municipality of Stein. This route takes you through the beautiful area of the Maasvallei River Park and especially south of Elsloo.
The route is special because during the route you will come across the poems of Jack Jacobs. You will also discover Elsloo Castle, the Schippersbeurs regional museum and Elsloo Castle Park. At the castle or at eatery Auwt Aelse it is possible to drink a nice cup of coffee.
The route can be followed via the red posts (whose chamfered top indicate the walking direction) but only counterclockwise. You can also download a separate route description from the download button.
Parking is possible at Elsloo Castle or at the Terhagen car park.
If you have any comments about the route, you can report them via [email protected].
A complete hiking map with many dozens of other hiking trails in this region is easy to order via www.visitzuidlimburg.nl/webshop.
