State Forest Management Hiking Route: The route is about 7 kilometers long and marked with red posts. Along the route, you will find some numbered posts. The numbers refer to the description in a folder that can be downloaded at: http://www.staatsbosbeheer.nl/natuurgebieden/hart-van-drenthe/routes. You can start the route at two locations (see folder): at the parking lot by the sand playground on the south side of the area (accessible from the Schoonloo-Elp road) or at the parking lot by the Dillingsveen on the north side (accessible from Grolloo). The numbering of the posts and the corresponding description assume a start at the southern parking lot.
