Gooilust is a sight to behold, no matter the season. The park forest was designed in the English landscape style, with many playful elements. In 1895, Louise Six inherited the estate. She had been married to Frans Ernst Blaauw for several years. When Louise Six passed away in 1934, she bequeathed Gooilust to Natuurmonumenten.

Many know Gooilust as 'The Forest of Blaauw'. A century ago, gnus, bison, kangaroos, zebras, and antelopes roamed the meadows of the estate. The exotic animals are long gone, but you can still enjoy its collection of exotic trees and plants.

There is also a beautiful ornamental garden at Gooilust. At the entrance, you can buy a small guide with plenty of interesting information.
Opening hours: Tuesday and Saturday from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM (March 1 to November 15).
