Utrecht CS to Breukelen Station

Route description
From Utrecht CS (North Tunnel) to Breukelen Station 26.7 km. Partly we follow the Utrecht path. A picturesque route that mostly runs along the winding Vecht with its cozy boats and tea houses.

I vary a bit to walk not only on many paved paths but also on very charming unpaved sections. The paved path we take is generally quiet and beautiful. Among other things, I walk through Kraaienbosch, past Slot Zuilen, through the old heart of Maarssen, a loop around the tip of Goudswaard, around Goudestein, very nicely unpaved. Then we partly follow the Waterline path, along the rugged unpaved dike of the water pipeline canal in the Bethunepolder, we have a distant view of the greenery of Robinson here. Along the beautiful paths of the Gunterstein estate, over the unpaved water pipeline dike along the Scheendijk to the center of Nieuwersluis, and over the sandy path along the Vecht back to Breukelen, the bridge over the canal to Breukelen Station, where we take a sprinter to Utrecht CS.
