The starting point of the walk is chosen so that Alphen is approximately halfway along the route. It is primarily a forest walk, but here and there - especially in the section towards Alphen - there are also impressive views of the typical Kempen landscape.
Sights include the Sint-Willibrordus chapel (over a spring), the Sint-Willibrordus church, the remarkable Pieckhaus, the statue of Belhamel opposite the local museum, the burial mound, and finally the execution memorial at the end of the walk.
