Park the car in the parking lot on Zandstraat in Opijnen. Follow the dike paths along the Waal. First along the northern side, where it can sometimes be crowded on weekends. Take the ferry in Tiel, see https://www.rivierenland.nl/voetveer-tiel-wamel. The southern side is almost entirely a designated bicycle path. Crossing the Martinus-Nijhoff Bridge by bicycle is an experience.
