Due to the many new constructions, not much of the authentic peat colonial atmosphere remains in Stadskanaal. Therefore, you quickly stroll out to find a park and walk a longer stretch along a museum railway line in Musselkanaal to take in some of this atmosphere. After an hour of walking, you enter the young Vledderbos, where you wander past grassy and winding paths and past a huge forest pond. After passing through the Broeklanden of the old creek de Page, you arrive in the woods of the recreation area Het Page-Dal, where there are also beautiful winding forest paths again. Through and along beautiful, water-rich parks, you walk unnoticed through the development back to the bus stop.
