The 's Graveland estates are managed by Natuurmonumenten (NM). The forest area north of Hilversum adjacent to some estates are managed by Goois Nature Reserve (GNR). NM and GNR have plotted walks, but no joint ones. This route leads over most of the estates of NM and through the Spanderswoud of GNR. The estates are park-like, with ponds, beech avenues, rhododendrons, sight lines. The Spanderswoud has a varied forest, with some heaths and water features. West of the Spanderswoud is the eponymous estate of NM; You also walk past here.
