Estate Klarenbeek
The country estate was probably founded in the 18th century. The main building and the surrounding park date from the first half of the 19th century. The complex includes the main building, a couple of service buildings, the former coach house, the park-like garden, a bridge, and pillars at the entrance. Although the service buildings are no longer part of Klarenbeek, they are considered a monumental unit with the other parts of the complex. The mansion was built in 1842 on the orders of H.F. van Meurs. In 1919, side wings were added on either side of the building. The design of this extension was by the architect Ahazverus Hendrikus Wegerif. He also designed, in 1919, the terrace at the rear and the two service residences on either side of the main building on Zuiderzeestraatweg. The interior was also designed by Wegerif.
