AzureThe Vressels Bos is located east of the church village of Nijnsel and the river Dommel. The area of 250 hectares is located on a drifting sand hill, which is three meters higher than the surrounding fields. Fens and wet heaths form beautiful sections between overgrown hills and forest. The forest is a habitat for Scottish Highlanders and Exmoor ponies. The Hazenputten, a natural fen, is located in the middle of the area.
We walked this route in the autumn of 2020 and regularly follow the blue route. Beautiful viewpoints, heathland, fens, coniferous forest and several benches along the way.
