Car: start at the parking lot* at the beginning of the Utrechtse Baan, near the Maarsbergseweg (N226), 3956 KT Leersum, municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug, the Netherlands. Free parking.

Bus: line 50, stop Donderberg in Leersum.

In every season a beautiful forest walk over two real 'mountains' northwest of Leersum and through the rural area around the hamlet of Darthuizen. Immediately after the start, you will climb a former ski slope. Detailed information about nature and the history of this part of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug can be found under Sights. In short, you will pass various surprising places.

* Restaurants and cafes are located less than 2 km from the car park in the centre of Leersum.
