Circular walk Kaapse Bossen Doorn

From/to: start at the parking lot* at the Schoonoordselaan, 3941 KJ Doorn, municipality of Utrechtse Heuvelrug, the Netherlands. Free parking.

After 1.8 km on the historic Postweg, at the bottom of the southern flank of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, and the Buntlaan, a former sheep drive, you conquer the 55-metre-high Ruiterberg where sheep grazed on the heath in the 18th and 19th centuries. You will successively pass the estates De Diepwel, De Ruiterberg and Huis te Maarn. Via the edge of the forest east of Doorn, which is more than 11 centuries old, you return to the starting point.
