This canoe route takes you along the most beautiful places of the Loosdrechts Plassen area and is a perfect route for nature lovers, because there is plenty to admire along the way. You pass a self-service lock twice.

Along the way you will discover beautiful nature, such as a swamp forest with alder, willow and birch. In the summer you can see the water gentian blooming in the ditches. Many special plants such as the cuckoo flower, large buttercup and dotter flower also grow here. In the water there are water violet, crab shear, matenbies and arrowweed. You can also see vibrating bogs here, pieces of plant cover that float on the water. Rare plant species including wild orchids grow on it.

Furthermore, kingfishers, purple herons and the osprey live here. And keep your eyes open, because you might see deer and foxes on the banks.
